PTW Production Excellence

Engineering process stability in printing, coating and converting

Are recurring leaks, short doctor blade life, unstable ink supply or excessive cleaning disrupting your production?

Printing Technology Wache (PTW) helps production, technical and maintenance teams investigate these problems and select suitable components and systems for their existing equipment.

We combine application-specific technical advice with the supply of pumps, filters, chamber systems, doctor blades, end seals and cleaning solutions for flexographic printing, gravure printing, coating and converting.

You can start with one recurring problem, a planned upgrade or an existing product specification.

Look beyond the part that keeps failing

When replacing a component has not resolved an issue, PTW examines the relevant interactions between equipment, process media and operating conditions.

For a repeatedly leaking chamber, for example, the assessment may cover seal profile and material, blade arrangement, chamber alignment, ink supply and return conditions. The purpose is to establish what needs attention before recommending another replacement.

This complements the work of your technical team and existing suppliers. Where findings point beyond our scope, we identify the need for specialist or machine-manufacturer input.

Where PTW can support you

Ink and coating supply. Pump selection, circulation and supply and return arrangements are assessed against the required flow, pressure conditions and media compatibility.

Filtration and contamination control. We review filter selection, contamination sources and particle retention in the context of the medium and circulation system.

Doctor blades, chamber systems and end seals. We help select blade materials and geometries, chamber systems and end seals for the application and installed equipment.

Cleaning, component care and web cleaning. We help select cleaning chemistry, methods and equipment for the actual residue and component materials. Web cleaning is considered where substrate contamination is relevant.

Technical selection and supply

Products available through PTW include Graymills pumps and filtration systems, Esterlam polymer doctor blades and INTRO-Line steel and stainless-steel doctor blades from Von Arx Engineering.

We connect the technical discussion with a practical supply option: clarifying the requirement, checking relevant manufacturer specifications and quoting suitable components or systems. An existing product specification can also be submitted directly for a quotation.

PTW Production Excellence: the wider view

Our approach connects eight technical areas:

Fluid handling · Filtration · Metering · Sealing · Printing & coating · Cleaning · Measurement & verification · Standardisation

These provide a framework for understanding your issue, not a requirement to commission a whole-plant project. We focus on the areas relevant to your production problem.

We use available process information and existing measurement data. Any additional specialist measurements are agreed separately. For follow-up improvement work, we agree how results will be assessed and how useful changes can be retained in operating and maintenance routines.

The objective is to reduce avoidable waste, cleaning effort and downtime while improving repeatability.

Start with your application

Contact Daniel Wache with your process, the recurring issue and the improvement you need. A brief description is enough to start; photographs or specifications are helpful but not essential for the first conversation.

In an initial technical discussion, we clarify whether PTW can help and what information is needed. Where a remote assessment is appropriate, you receive a recommendation for the next technical step. This may be a targeted component selection, a product quotation or a defined follow-up investigation.

The scope and any costs of further work are agreed before it starts.
