The highlights of our product range:
RECO is an innovative coating and laminating machine concept. The individual design and flexibility make it an all-rounder for demanding coating requirements. The modules and components of the RECO series are subject to constant optimisation and further development. RECO offers various coating methods for different tasks. The coating method/compound or the working width can be changed easily by using trolley and/or sleeve technology. RECO works as one-sided or double-sided coating. It is used for solvent-based, water-based, and polymeric coating compounds and it mainly manufactures technical products, flexible packaging materials and products for renewable energies. All modules used in the RECO series, such as winders, coating units and dryer lines are also available individually to supplement existing lines.
LABCO is specially designed for research and product development as well as for small batch production. Its modular design enables it to meet various requirements. Small substrates can be coated from roll-to-roll up to 500 mm working width at a speed of 0.5 m/min to 100 m/min.
Since KROENERT assembles each line individually, a wide selection of high-quality, tried-and-tested components are available. These include winders, coating units, drying systems, humidifiers, printing units, laminating units, web tension, web run, automation, and digital solutions.
KROENERT’s Technology Center is a unique support to find the best setup and the optimum combination of components. Equipped with a LABCO and a RECO the Technology Center serves as an add-on to create the best fit of the equipment to the application technology.
Test results and findings from LABCO can be easily transferred to RECO production lines. This ensures cost-effective and flexible product optimisation.
The KROENERT Service guarantees maximum line availability and optimum results. In close cooperation with the customer individual service concepts are developed. They can include the provision of spare and wear parts, retrofits, maintenance and inspection, remote service, training, process optimisation, service contracts as well as repairs.
A success story with Termoplasti-Plama
Termoplasti-Plama d.o.o. based in Podgrad, Slovenia, has the longest production tradition of PE products in Slovenia and is among the largest producers of LD and HD PE products. Its core business is the production of printed and unprinted flexible polyethylene packaging.
In 2024 KROENERT was contacted by Termoplasti-Plama regarding their aquisition of a state-of-the-art coating line.
With the production goal of creating first-class release liners, the following key data was set for the design of the new machine. Processing of substrates such as PE, PP, PET, and paper included a minimum film thickness of 12 µm and a minimum coating weight of 0.3 g/m², as well as augmenting the existing production speed of 250 to 700 m/min.
Through joint discussion between the specialists, a line concept was designed by KROENERT that reflected the targets with implementing sophisticated winding technology, high precision coating technology with utmost repeatability and a new inertized UV chamber, equipped with multiple UV lamp modules and a speeddependent power control system.
After only 10 months, the KROENERT coating line was installed at the customer‘s site. Following the acceptance runs, the line went directly into production of single- and doublesided siliconized substrates.
KROENERT‘s expertise in mechanical engineering for the coating business and Termoplasti-Plama‘s many years of experience with their product resulted in a customized high-performance coating line, enabling Termoplasti-Plama to further expand its production of siliconized films and take the leading position in this field not only in Europe but also worldwide. KROENERT and Termoplasti-Plama are setting new standards in the efficient cross-linking of UV silicones. With this line KROENERT exceeded all required quality criteria and demonstrated once again its high engineering capabilities.
