COMAS, a global leader in primary machinery and processing equipment and part of the Coesia group, announces the acquisition of SAM EUROPE, a prominent player in the design and manufacturing of machinery for the converting and printing industry, including innovative solutions for energy storage systems.

This acquisition strengthens COMAS’ position as a market leader in industrial plants and enhances its ability to deliver advanced solutions to a global customer base, capitalising on SAM EUROPE’s established market presence in Europe and the United States.

Portfolio expansion

“This strategic move significantly expands our portfolio and positions COMAS at the forefront of emerging technologies, such as sustainable battery manufacturing. We’re optimistic about the future and the opportunities this creates for our global customers and partners,” said Enrico Fanelli, CEO of COMAS.

Following this development, SAM EUROPE and COMAS will operate under a unified structure, reflecting a shared commitment to progress and excellence in engineering processing solutions.

Harnessing Coesia’s global network
