Once again, FACHPACK in Nuremberg (23-25 September 2025) is set to highlight smart packaging solutions, and KOCH Robotersysteme will of course be there in Hall 7A, Stand 523. The robotics company will be presenting its latest solutions in the field of end-of-line automation. The focus of the trade fair presentation will be on the redesigned KOCH PalletSystemMove, which is expected to impress visitors with even more functionality and flexibility – compact in size, big in performance.
Compact all-rounder for palletising
The new version of the KOCH PalletSystemMove combines proven strengths with innovative enhancements. Continued high flexibility and maximum efficiency with minimal space requirements – the system demonstrates its capabilities in just 9.5 m²: depalletising and palletising at two stations, mobile via pallet truck and flexibly integrable into existing production lines, for example, through a height-adjustable infeed or the option of AGV connection.
The new version of the system can also be equipped with different grippers and supplemented with automatic intermediate layer handling. An industrial robot from ABB or KUKA, whose movements are protected by contactless safety zones, ensures maximum process speed in the new version as well. The specially developed user interface and the KOCH EasyPallet software tool also continue to enable particularly intuitive use of the systems, for example, when quickly creating palletising patterns. But the real upgrade is inside: the PALLOC robot guidance system is on board – a solution from our long-standing partner SICK, with whom KOCH has been working trustfully for many years on a wide variety of automation projects.
PALLOC enables highly flexible depalletising with the aid of a 3D colour camera and deep learning. Regardless of whether cartons are of different shapes or sizes, the camera reliably detects each layer, measures it precisely and transmits the position data to the robot in real time. The result: greater speed, more autonomy and less setup effort. SICK is one of the world’s leading suppliers of intelligent sensor solutions for industrial applications. Based in Waldkirch near Freiburg, the company has been developing smart technologies for safe, efficient and sustainable processes in factory and logistics automation for almost 80 years.
Adding digital transparency to the palletising solution
Smart digitalisation meets clever engineering – making the palletising solution future-proof: KOCHnectivity fully exploits the potential of the KOCH PalletSystemMove by enabling real-time recording of operating data and providing users with a transparent overview of the status of their systems.
This allows processes to be designed more efficiently, in a more resource-friendly and more proactive manner – a significant advantage in times of smart digitalisation. KOCHnectivity makes the invisible visible – and the palletising solution future-proof. Of course, the software can also be used on other KOCH systems – for consistent transparency and greater efficiency along the entire production line.
Visitors to the booth gain a diverse insight into the entire range of services offered by the company – whether with buckets, bottles, sacks or cartons. Whether it’s filling, packaging, storage or palletising, KOCH automates processes across industries with pinpoint accuracy. With grippers developed in-house, decades of experience and comprehensive service from planning to after-sales, KOCH delivers end-to-end automation concepts from a single source.
