The European flexpack industry is undergoing profound change. Against this backdrop, the 23rd Inno-Meeting, a renowned industry gathering, will provide decisive impetus for sustainable solutions on 24 and 25 February 2026 in Osnabrück. Under the theme ‘Flexpack 2030’, the focus will be on the key decisions for the future of flexible packaging in Europe.
Why ‘Flexpack 2030’?
New requirements of the PPWR, stricter food contact regulations for recycled materials, the phase-out of PFAS and increasing verification and documentation requirements make fundamental change inevitable. At the same time, technological innovations are opening up new options for functioning cycles and clear differentiation in the market.
The 16 specialist presentations will focus on topics such as high-barrier mono-materials, new plastic-free materials, digital watermarks and advanced sorting technologies. The programme will be complemented by key specialist topics such as NIAS management, low-migration systems, CO₂ balances, mass balance approaches and energy-efficient processes. The following specialist presentations will be discussed in depth:
- Claire Gusko (one.five GmbH): Integration of high-throughput data and AI for the development of sustainable flexible packaging solutions
- Dr Rainer Dahlmann (IKV RWTH Aachen): SiOx coatings on recyclates
- Prof Achim Grefenstein (Constantia Flexibles Germany GmbH): New barrier and recycling technologies that make flexible high-barrier packaging highly recyclable
- Dr Michael Weber (Constab Polyolefin Additives GmbH): Innovative foaming of thin films and cups
- Albin Kälin (epeaswitzerland gmbh): Digital Product Passport Compass C2C – Mastering compliance, strengthening circularity
- Sebastian Stürzl (Rücker GmbH): Cheese packaging 2030 – A food manufacturer’s perspective
