The global market for adhesives and sealants continues to show steady growth. Recent industry analyses indicate increasing demand for advanced bonding solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors. This development will also be a key topic at ABS Europe 2026, which will take place from 27 to 29 October 2026 at the Vicenza Exhibition Centre in Italy. The event is organised by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) in cooperation with A151 Srl and aims to bring together companies and professionals from across Europe and the Mediterranean region. More than 50 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation.
Growth driven by multiple industries
Several market research studies underline the dynamic development of the sector. According to Market and Markets, the global adhesive tapes market is expected to grow from around USD 88.5 billion today to approximately USD 111.3 billion within the next five years. Major drivers include the automotive, packaging, electronics, and construction industries.
The healthcare sector is also becoming increasingly important, as adhesive tapes and bonding solutions are widely used in surgical applications and in the assembly of medical devices.
According to Smithers, the global market for packaging adhesives alone reached USD 21.6 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow to USD 25.7 billion by 2030. Packaging remains the largest end-use segment for adhesives, covering applications from parcel packaging and corrugated board to product labelling.
A study by Research and Markets indicates that the adhesives and sealants market in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) reached USD 24.13 billion in 2024 and could expand to approximately USD 31.8 billion by 2034.
At the same time, demand for bio-based and recyclable adhesives is increasing. These products are produced using environmentally friendly raw materials such as soy or plant-based polymers. Adhesives are also gaining importance in emerging manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing, where they are used to bond materials including composites, metals, ceramics and plastics.
Industry showcase and conference programme
ABS Europe 2026 will cover the entire production and supply chain of the adhesives and sealants industry, ranging from raw materials to machinery, technologies, systems and services. Exhibits will include bonding solutions, foams, tapes, resins, coatings, laminates and films.
Companies that have already confirmed their participation include B-Fluid, BMP, CMC Converting Machinery Cevenini, Guidolin Girotto, Loxeal, Mastici Vottero, Nannini Renato Machinery, P.F.R., Plasmatreat, Proxima, Rotogal, Testa & Co., and The-Ma.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a conference programme addressing key industry topics and developments.
At the same time, two additional manufacturing-focused events will take place at the Vicenza Exhibition Centre: A&T Nordest – Automation & Testing, dedicated to automation, testing and intralogistics technologies, and Expo Industria 2026, covering topics such as welding, tooling, workplace safety, packaging and industrial cleaning.
