Coesia presents energy storage solutions at The Battery Show

Coesia, a global provider of advanced industrial and automation solutions, will present its latest technologies for battery cell manufacturing at The Battery Show Europe 2026, taking place from 9 to 11 June 2026 in Stuttgart. Visitors can meet Coesia experts in Hall 1, Booth D40, and explore the group’s integrated approach to energy storage solutions.

A key focus of Coesia’s presence at the show is cell manufacturing, with particular emphasis on winding and stacking, two of the most critical and demanding processes in lithium-ion battery production. Through its company G.D, Coesia has developed advanced solutions designed to address process stability, material handling precision, automation, and footprint optimisation in high-volume battery manufacturing environments.

Application in gigafactories

These winding and stacking technologies are currently being applied in gigafactories, where process quality control, industrial scalability, and consistent Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) are essential. The solutions support cylindrical and prismatic cell formats and are designed for seamless integration into automated production lines.

“Winding and stacking are defining processes in battery manufacturing, and this is where Coesia brings proven industrial strength and competitiveness,” said Alessandro Parimbelli, CEO of Coesia. “With technologies already deployed in large‑scale battery projects, we help manufacturers scale reliably and efficiently.”

Building on this core expertise, Coesia will showcase solutions from its Energy Storage Solutions vertical, bringing together the complementary expertise of Cerulean, Comas, FlexLink, G.D, Norden, and System Electronics. The portfolio supports battery manufacturers across the full production chain, from electrode and cell manufacturing to cell finishing and factory automation.

Cerulean is now formally part of Coesia’s Energy Storage Solutions vertical, expanding the group’s capabilities in quality assurance for battery production through advanced computed tomography inspection technologies that support nondestructive quality control in cell manufacturing processes.

“The energy storage market is evolving rapidly, and manufacturers are under increasing pressure to scale while maintaining process control, efficiency and yield,” said Fabrizio Nanni, Energy Storage Systems Director at Coesia. “By bringing together complementary technologies across the entire battery production flow, we support customers with integrated solutions that can be adapted as processes, formats and volumes evolve.”

Solutions showcased by Coesia

At The Battery Show Europe 2026, Coesia will present specialised technologies addressing the main stages of battery cell production:

Cerulean provides non-destructive quality inspection solutions based on computed tomography, supporting quality assurance in battery cell manufacturing processes.

Comas contributes electrode manufacturing technologies, including mixing, coating, and drying systems, suitable for applications ranging from pilot lines to industrial-scale battery production.

FlexLink demonstrates factory automation and material flow solutions that connect production steps through automated conveying and system integration, supporting coordinated and data-enabled manufacturing operations.

G.D presents cell manufacturing solutions covering winding, stacking, and automated cell assembly, designed to enable repeatable and scalable battery cell production.

Norden showcases modular electrolyte filling technologies designed to support flexible battery formats and evolving product requirements.

System Electronics highlights formation and ageing solutions that increase throughput while addressing space and layout constraints in battery plants.

By combining technologies across its companies, Coesia positions itself as a one-stop partner that supports battery manufacturers throughout line design, industrialisation, and production optimisation, with a focus on scalability, footprint efficiency, and total cost of ownership.

Visitors to The Battery Show Europe 2026 are invited to meet Coesia specialists at Hall 1, Booth D40, to discuss current production challenges and future energy storage manufacturing requirements.
