Dalpo acquires Premier Limpet

The acquisition of Premier Limpet gives Afera Member Dalpo Poland sp. z o.o. an established U.K. manufacturing and distribution base in printed and plain adhesive tapes.

Afera Member Dalpo Poland sp. z o.o. has expanded its European adhesive tape footprint through the acquisition of U.K.-based Premier Limpet Limited, the country’s largest independent manufacturer of printed and plain adhesive tape. The transaction was completed through Dalpo Group UK Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dalpo Poland sp. z o.o., and announced by Amcomri Group plc on 1 July 2026. Amcomri reported a minimum initial consideration of £10.1 million, with potential additional consideration linked to Premier Limpet’s 2026 EBITDA performance.

Premier Limpet operates from two manufacturing facilities in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire and delivers approximately 40 million m² of tape annually through its distributor network. The company produces bespoke printed adhesive tapes using a range of materials and adhesives and generated revenue of approximately £11.6 million in 2025.

A strategic step into the U.K. market

Polish legal adviser Sobczyńscy i Partnerzy | FSG Prawo, which advised Dalpo Poland sp. z o.o. as the parent company of Dalpo Group UK Limited, described the acquisition as an important element of Dalpo’s growth strategy and entry into the British market. The adviser also confirmed that Dalpo acquired 100% of the shares in Premier Limpet from AIM-listed Amcomri Group plc.

In its own announcement on the purchase of Premier Limpet Ltd, Dalpo presented the transaction as the joining of two companies with experience in self-adhesive products, manufacturing, printing and customer service. The group emphasised continuity for customers, stating that existing contacts, current orders, agreed terms and day-to-day co-operation remain unchanged. Dalpo also said Premier Limpet gains access to broader production capabilities, technical knowledge and international market experience as part of the larger group.

Dalpo, an Afera Member since 1 January 2025, is active across packaging tapes, printed packaging tapes, masking, duct, double-sided and other specialty tapes, protective films, printed protective films, thermal transfer labels, thermal labels, printed labels, linerless labels and other self-adhesive materials. The group has more than 35 years of international market experience, two fully owned production facilities and a team of approximately 400 professionals, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 14001:2015 and FSC certifications.

Premier Limpet joins a specialist tape group

Premier Limpet had been part of Amcomri Group since 2021. During that ownership period, Amcomri introduced new costing and pricing models, optimised working capital and recruited a sector-experienced management team. Premier Limpet also expanded into water-activated adhesive paper tapes and, in 2024, acquired and integrated the trade and assets of Supreme Tapes and Converting Ltd into its Cambridge facility.

Amcomri positioned the sale as the next phase for Premier Limpet under a strategic buyer with sector expertise. In its company announcement, the group described Dalpo as a large European player in the printed and plain adhesive tape market with the coverage and industry knowledge to take Premier Limpet forward. HCR Law, which advised Amcomri on the sale, similarly noted that the transaction sees Premier Limpet join a major European adhesive tape player.

Premier Limpet has framed the change in ownership as a positive step for customers, suppliers and staff. In its LinkedIn update, the company said it was excited to become part of the Dalpo Group and pointed customers to its sales team for further information. Recent communications from Premier Limpet continue to emphasise fast service for printed tapes, including a five-business-day service for new printed-tape designs across solvent, hot-melt and acrylic PP, self-adhesive paper and gummed paper tapes.

What the deal signals for the European tape market

The transaction points to continued consolidation in Europe’s adhesive tape industry, particularly in packaging and printed tapes. It is a scale, capability and market-access deal in a part of the value chain where production efficiency, service, print expertise and distribution reach are central to competitiveness. For Afera Members, it provides a concrete example of an established regional tape manufacturer using acquisition to build geographic presence in a core product segment.

The deal also reflects the continued importance of packaging tapes within the European market. Premier Limpet’s portfolio includes bespoke printed adhesive tapes and water-activated paper tapes, both of which sit within packaging trends linked to brand visibility, logistics efficiency, fibre-based packaging and end-of-life considerations. Dalpo’s move into the U.K. market adds manufacturing capacity and local customer access in these segments, while extending the group’s position beyond its Polish base.
