With the ecodry Drying Summit 2026, ecodry Converting Solutions GmbH is placing the fundamentals and practical optimisation of industrial drying processes in the Coating and Converting industry at the centre of a dedicated event. The compact format combines expertise in drying physics, engineering and production with practical cases from industrial operations.
“Unlock Your Drying Potential”
Under the motto “Unlock Your Drying Potential”, the event will address how drying processes can be optimised for higher throughput and improved energy efficiency while maintaining consistent product quality and plant safety. The main summit programme will take place on 23 and 24 September at Hotel Residenz in Bocholt, with an optional get-together scheduled for the evening of 22 September.
The one-and-a-half-day programme is structured around five key areas. Two keynote presentations will look at lessons learned from four decades of Coating & Converting and at the changes and future prospects facing the industry. Further sessions will cover the physical principles of drying, including heat and mass transfer, evaporation and film physics. Other topics include dryer operation and optimisation as well as dryer design, with a focus on air flow, nozzles, fans, recirculation and safety.
A central element of the event is the Drying Clinic. Participants can submit their own production-related cases in advance, including photos and videos of defects, temperature profiles or process data. Selected cases will be analysed anonymously by the experts during the summit. Topics may include common quality issues such as blistering, wrinkles, curling and delamination, with the discussion focusing on potential causes and practical approaches to solving them.
Designed for direct exchange
Attendance is limited to 15 participants, creating an environment designed for direct exchange between industry experts and attendees. The programme also includes a networking dinner with moderated topic tables and a final expert panel addressing both questions submitted in advance and spontaneous questions from the audience.
The announced speakers are Dirk Hartmann, Bastian Kuhl, Bernd Theling, Markus Lente and Sven Schnoklake. The event is aimed at process and chemical engineers, production managers, designers, mechanical engineers, PLC engineers, commissioning and maintenance specialists, technical managers and technical sales professionals.
