GEW appoints GNG as exclusive distributor for Spain and Portugal

GEW has announced the appointment of Gestión de Negocios Gráficos (GNG) to exclusively represent all its UV curing business in Spain & Portugal. GNG is a prominent and well-respected distributor in the Graphic Arts sector, representing many leading industry brands in this region, including RMGT, Sakurai and Xeikon, among others.

With offices in Barcelona and Madrid, GNG supplies a wide range of graphic machinery, now including GEW UV curing solutions. The company offers turnkey solutions for its clients, including personalised sales service, catering to the needs and requirements of each client, as well as technical assistance for installation and maintenance through its partnered service company, Grupo Amagraf.

Wide client portfolio

Francisco Jiménez, CEO at GNG, comments on the new partnership with GEW: “We are excited about GEW´s wide variety of solutions for both retrofits and for new presses, which allows us to cater to our wide client portfolio. We know that the technology provided by GEW will help many of our customers to update their way of working, resulting in a more efficient curing process, shorter printing times, and more sustainable practices with industry-leading technology.”

Robert Rae, Managing Director of Sales at GEW, explains the background to this new direction for both companies: “Spain and Portugal are vital areas to our business, with thriving printing, coating and converting industries which span narrow web, wide web, converting, sheetfed offset, wood coating and other industrial applications. GNG’s existing contact network and experience in these areas will enable us to increase GEW’s footprint in more diverse UV curing markets. We now look forward to a new era of proactive, dedicated sales and service to our customers across the region, coupled with a renewed drive to increase our presence in sectors beyond our core label and web business.

Market transition to LED

“In addition, in our core narrow web printing and finishing market, GNG will bring an increased focus on the market transition to LED with their historical knowledge of this technology. We look forward to an increased engagement with customers on this critical issue.”

Franco Pagano, GEW Sales Manager for Southern Europe, adds: “The new partnership with GNG is a positive step for all, one that will bring many benefits to our customers across the region. GNG is a well-established and highly respected distributor, with outstanding industry knowledge and experience across sheetfed, web and specialist applications. Francisco and his team represent a small number of leading brands and will bring a more dedicated focus to GEW. They have a superb reputation for both sales and aftersales, supported by a strong technical expertise in UV and LED curing installation and servicing.”
