Masterpress has organised its first-ever Media Open Day. The event showcased the company’s development over the years, growing capabilities, size and significant position in the European labelling and packaging sector. PRO Flexconvert was invited to Bialystok, Poland, to experience the Masterpress Media Day on 4 and 5 June 2025.
The event was an opportunity to learn more about Masterpress’ commitment and leadership in the transition towards sustainable packaging, and efforts to strengthen cross-industry collaboration in this context.
Advanced printing technologies
The invited media officials from all over Europe discovered the company’s use of advanced printing technologies. These include hybrid printing, which aims to deliver exceptional results in decorative labels, special effects, brand protection and efficient application, with a particular emphasis on recyclable products, in line with RecyClass’ design-for-recycling guidelines.
Panel discussion
As part of the Media Day, a panel discussion was held with the title “Removing the ‘buzz’ in collaboration – delivering a ‘competitive’ EU PPWR through collaborative efforts across the packaging supply chain. “To innovate, we must collaborate,” is Masterpress’ mission statement in this context. The EU’s PPWR presents key regulatory blind spots that ultimately impact the packaging industry’s market competitiveness. At the same time, the regulation also presents a unique opportunity for the packaging industry to meet its ambitious regulatory agenda through a genuine cross-industry collaborative effort that delivers innovative projects.
Industry experts on the panel hosted by Gabriel Magdaleno (Marketing Director at Masterpress) were Kasia Wasilewska (R&D Director, Masterpress), Diana Dedeic (Product Manager at Taghleef Industries), Alina Marm (Head of Global Sustainability & Circular Economy at Siegwerk), and Marc Larvor (Head of Technology BU Narrow Web EMEA at Siegwerk).
