Kampf LSF in Laußig has been established for many decades as a special machine manufacturer for converting systems for finishing and processing web-shaped materials. SOMATEC will now take over the product portfolio of Kampf LSF as well as the service and spare parts business at the beginning of 2026. This will ensure the availability of these technologies in the future.
Securing service and technological integration
With the takeover of the machine programme and the service and spare parts business, SOMATEC will become the clear point of contact for operators of Kampf LSF systems in these areas. The availability of spare parts and technical support for existing lines is thus secured in the long term.
At the same time, SOMATEC is integrating the proven LSF technologies, especially the shaftless reverse winders for digital printing, into its own portfolio. The combination of these established converting concepts with SOMATEC’s specialised winding expertise creates an expanded solution base that can be used for both classic applications with films and papers as well as for other demanding projects. This allows technological know-how to be pooled without losing successful machine concepts.
SOMATEC as customer contact for Kampf LSF technologies
“If you operate a Kampf LSF system or are planning new projects with flexible webs, we will of course be happy to discuss your requirements with you in future,” Somatec stated in a press release. “Together, we will clarify the initial situation and develop a solution that meets your technical and economic requirements.”
In recent years, Kampf LSF has increasingly focused on slitting machines for battery materials, and Kampf GmbH will be the point of contact for these customers in future.
An exclusive background interview with Somatec’s Managing Director Thorsten Kuhlmann on the Kampf LSF integration has been published in the most recent issue of PRO Flexconvert (#10)
