Canatu Plc has successfully extended its IATF 16949:2016 certification for its manufacturing facility in Vantaa, Finland. The renewed certification, awarded by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining a robust quality management system in line with the requirements of the global automotive industry.
IATF 16949:2016 is one of the most widely recognised standards for automotive quality management systems, outlining best practices for ensuring consistent product quality, risk management, and continuous improvement. The certification was originally granted to Canatu in 2022 and has now been extended following a comprehensive audit process. The extended certificate is valid until April 2028.
Trusted partner for automotive
“We are proud to have our IATF 16949:2016 certification extended. This achievement validates our consistent focus on quality and our capability to meet the stringent demands of the automotive industry. It reinforces our position as a trusted partner in delivering innovative solutions,” stated Juha Kokkonen, CEO of Canatu.
The IATF standard specifies requirements for Automotive QMS covering multiple themes from customer requirements, product design, process approach, production management, leadership, risk management, to systematic quality thinking within the organisation. Every mass production and R&D project is evaluated against the standard and customer-specific requirements. The extension of this certification reflects Canatu’s dedication to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
