Coca-Cola’s light-up packaging features OLEDs from Inuru

Coca-Cola, in collaboration with Marvel and Rappi, unveiled a limited-edition „Thor“-themed beverage featuring OLED technology from Inuru. This special edition, launching exclusively in São Paulo through Rappi Turbo’s ultra-fast delivery service, marks a significant milestone in marketing innovation and sustainability.

Made with ELFs by Inuru

The limited-edition packaging incorporates Inuru ELF Technology, self-powered, paper-thin OLEDs embedded in the label. This resulting labels lights up the label when touched, specifically illuminating Thor’s hammer, offering consumers an interactive and memorable experience, and a collectible item.

As a returning customer, Coca-Cola’s decision to integrate Inuru’s technology into one of its major marketing campaigns alongside Disney/Marvel is another signal of trust in Inuru’s capabilities. This collaboration highlights Inuru’s commitment to delivering market-ready, innovative solutions.

First OLEDs shipped to market from Dragon Factory Berlin-Brandenburg

The Thor-themed labels are the first products on the market utilising OLEDs from Inuru’s state-of-the-art Dragon line, which has just started operations earlier this year. The Berlin-Brandenburg based Dragon Factory is the world’s first factory to produce OLED panels at a low-cost through printing techniques. This approach provides a sustainable alternative to traditional LED lighting solutions. This advancement underscores Inuru’s manufacturing capabilities leadership in sustainable technology and innovation.

The labels, featuring the latest update of ELF technology, seamlessly embed the entire electronics within, allowing for easy application akin to standard labels. No additional training was required for Coca-Cola to apply these waterproof OLED labels to their bottles. Coca-Cola leverages smart distribution through Rappi Turbo, ensuring fans in São Paulo can quickly and exclusively access this limited-edition product, available only while supplies last.

Building on a history of successful collaborations

This campaign follows the successful Ramadan Edition for Pakistan earlier this year and continues a series of collaborations with Coca-Cola. Notably, the 2019 Galactic Bottles with illuminated Star Wars lightsabers were a global phenomenon, further showcasing Inuru’s innovative impact.
