At the cutting edge – embedded world Exhibition & Conference

The embedded world Exhibition&Conference is the largest gathering for the embedded systems industry. From 9 to 11 April 2024, visitors can immerse themselves in the multifaceted world of embedded systems at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg and meet the Who’s Who of the industry.

“During embedded world, all the key players, experts and industry associations from the embedded systems sector come together. This not only offers a unique opportunity for networking, but also the chance to learn about the latest technologies at first hand,” says Executive Director Benedikt Weyerer. A message that is also reflected in this year’s claim: “Connecting the embedded community”.

In addition to the latest technologies, embedded world will also focus on important industry topics. For example, Prof Dr Axel Sikora, Chairman of the embedded world Conference, sees embedded security as “a key product feature of the future”. In a recent interview he pointed out how important it is to protect both the data security and the functional security of embedded systems.

“More than 600 submissions found their way to us – making this an ‘all-time high’,” explains Prof Sikora. All of the submissions were of excellent quality, a real challenge for the programme committee. In a workshop lasting several days, the Steering Board succeeded in creating a first-class, three-day conference programme. In addition to two keynote speeches, the final programme consists of 18 classes, 81 sessions and a total of 243 presentations

In his keynote speech on Tuesday, 9 April Dr Salil Raje, AMD, will talk about improving efficiency in the context of artificial intelligence. He will focus on the differences and interactions between edge and cloud computing. The second keynote of the conference will be given by Fiona Tracy, Analog Devices, on Wednesday, 10th April, in which she will provide an insight into how the factory of the future can be designed sustainably with the help of the intelligent edge.

Special thanks also go to the community partners, says Chairman Sikora, because the intensive cooperation – and the ‘being powered’ – has enabled the connections between embedded world and the communities of the embedded systems industry to be further expanded. “In the spirit of the new embedded world claim, we have created a ‘community of communities’ with our community partners,” says a delighted Prof Sikora.

electronic displays Conference 2024

The electronic displays Conference will take place on 10 and 11 April in parallel with the embedded world Exhibition & Conference. Prof Dr Karlheinz Blankenbach, Chairman of the electronic displays Conference, is particularly pleased about the so-called Author Interviews, as they allow participants to engage in in-depth discussions with the speakers. “With a record number of keynotes, contributions and international speakers, edc’24 offers a highly informative programme on all topics related to displays,” Blankenbach continues.

In the first keynote session on Wednesday, 10 April, five speakers will present insights into current topics such as display markets, trends and user experience (UX). The second keynote session on Thursday, 11 of April, will present innovations from automotive and area displays.
