Kampf GmbH has officially opened THE LINQ – Home of Slitting & Winding, its new Customer Experience Center at the company’s headquarters in Wiehl/Mühlen, Germany.
Covering approximately 3,000 square metres, THE LINQ brings together customers, partners and employees to experience technologies, develop solutions and share expertise. It reflects Kampf’s evolution from a machine manufacturer to a solutions and lifecycle partner.
Creating the conditions to understand customer challenges even better
“THE LINQ brings together people, expertise, technologies, data and perspectives. It creates the conditions for us to understand our customers’ challenges even better and develop sustainable solutions together,” says Markus Vollmer, CEO of Kampf GmbH.
At its heart is a 1,276-square-metre Technology Center, where technologies, materials and applications can be demonstrated, tested and validated under conditions closely reflecting real-world production environments.
The concept combines four interconnected areas: Experience for insights into markets and technologies, Creation for workshops and co-creation, Performance for testing and validation, and Commons for dialogue and interaction. The integrated Kampf Academy complements these areas by combining theoretical learning with hands-on training close to the machinery.
Long-term development
Developed in less than three years, THE LINQ is part of the long-term development of Kampf’s headquarters in Wiehl and complements the company’s recently completed Logistics Center.
The official opening brought together guests from business and politics. Following a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, visitors experienced the new facilities and technologies during guided tours.
With THE LINQ, Kampf combines more than 100 years of expertise in slitting and winding technology with a collaborative approach to developing the solutions of tomorrow.
As Markus Vollmer summarised in his opening speech: “My wish is for THE LINQ to become a place where people not only come together, but move forward together.”
