Established in 1951 by Verner Eisby and still in family ownership, Vetaphone is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2026. But, far from resting on the laurels of its illustrious history, the company is sharply focussed on pioneering new technology in surface treatment as CEO Michael Behrens points out.
Staying ahead of the trend

In celebrating 75 years as a global leader of pioneering technology, Mr Behrens is quick to acknowledge the contribution made by generations of dedicated employees that have built strong relationships with customers and partners alike. The company’s ethos is based on innovation, and it remains driven to be ‘best in field’ for printers, converters and extruders looking for quality surface treatment.
Pointing to the five years since the company celebrated its 70th anniversary, Mr Behrens stated: “We have further strengthened our position as the global leader in this specialist technology through a process of ongoing investment. We constantly monitor market trends and feedback from our users and OEMs, which helps to guide our R&D. This has resulted in us opening a fully-equipped demo centre and a unique Test Lab facility here in Denmark. Both offer customised interaction between our technicians and those of our customers, which is vital in creating value and ensuring their commercial success.”

Confidence in the future
Speaking for the family, Frank Eisby concluded: “I am sure my father would be very proud of what we have achieved over the past 75 years. But, I am also looking forward with a great degree of confidence, knowing that we have built a highly skilled organisation that has both experience and commitment. Vetaphone is unique, and we intend to keep it that way.”
