Flexible robot systems, innovative technologies and the typically warm KOCH flair – that was the KOCH Demonstration Day on 3 December 2024. Customers had the opportunity to gain a deep insight into the world of automation at KOCH. The event, which takes place regularly, was a great success once again.
Under the motto ‘Automation in all dimensions’, numerous guests were invited to an exciting mix of technology, innovation and personal exchange. The programme began with a warm welcome from Sales Manager Thomas Theis, who welcomed the participants and briefly introduced the company. “KOCH is not just a company – we are a team that shares a passion for modern robotics and is therefore driving the automation of the future with heart and mind,” emphasised Theis, before moving on to the practical side.
Packaging and palletising systems
During the subsequent tour of the production halls, Theis took the guests to see the current packaging and palletising systems in the test setup, which clearly demonstrated the versatility of the solutions. KOCH’s robot systems can be adapted to the most diverse requirements and allow the automated handling of a wide range of products. Whether glass, Petri dishes, boxes or rolls – the company offers customised solutions for every industry and positions itself as the right partner for anyone who wants to efficiently automate their production processes.
This tour also presented latest in-house developments, such as the KOCH PalletSystemMove, a flexible and mobile solution for palletising products. Another highlight was KOCHnectivity, an nnovative solution for the intelligent networking of machines and systems. It enables seamless communication between all parts of the system, ensures optimal control and provides important real-time data for increasing efficiency. Another highlight was the KOCH RobotDestackingCenter, which uses intelligent robotic solutions to efficiently and precisely destack products – ideal for automating production processes in the packaging industry. The presentation of agile AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) was particularly fascinating, impressively demonstrating how smoothly production and intralogistics can function today.
After the tour, there was also the opportunity to ‘immerse’ yourself in one of KOCH’s plant concepts using VR glasses. This allowed visitors to experience live how their solutions work and to view the plants in 360 degrees. This innovative opportunity provided an exciting and interactive insight into the engineering services.
Personal interaction
Of course, there was also plenty of opportunity for personal interaction: over delicious food and relaxed conversations, there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions and engage in dialogue with the KOCH team and partners from ABB and KUKA. “It’s always great to see how technology brings people together – that’s exactly what KOCH stands for,” Theis summed up.
The KOCH Demonstration Day was a huge success and a real highlight at the end of the year. It was a valuable opportunity to give guests an exclusive look behind the scenes, so that they could get to know not only the technology, but also the people behind the innovative solutions.
