Martin Automatic will highlight advanced web handling system solutions at the upcoming LOUPE ’26 expo in Chicago. Renowned as a leading supplier of automatic butt splicers to the label and converting industries, Martin will be exhibiting the latest versions of its most in-demand machines on Stand 615, featuring an MBS unwind butt splicer and LRD transfer rewinder on working display.
Non-stop unwinding of labels
The MBS supports non-stop unwinding of labels, flexible packaging, shrink sleeves, laminates and light paperboard for the most demanding and changing production environments. With Martin’s patented linear sheer butt splice unit and integrated roll loading mechanism its versatility accommodates automation of any web converted by label printers and converters around the world.
The LRD is a two-spindle non-stop transfer rewinder that features the same versatility and adaptability as the MBS but is for the delivery end of the press. In addition to the automatic transfer, it features automatic unloading of finished rolls and is easily fitted with a slitting module that can also accommodate automated differential winding.
Different web widths available
The MBS and LRD are available in web widths up to 28”/710 mm and diameters up to 50”/1270 mm.
