Masterpress has announced its latest investment in the production of side-gusseted e-commerce envelopes, further strengthening the company’s growing role in the e-commerce sector.
Masterpress E-Commerce, a specialised business unit of Masterpress, a European provider of printed packaging solutions, has invested in new converting and printing technology to support the production of side-gusseted e-commerce envelopes.
Development strategy in the e-commerce sector
The new machine will soon be installed at the Białystok plant and supports the company’s development strategy in the e-commerce sector. It features an integrated printing system that enables personalisation of envelopes during production – with customised designs, improved colour accuracy, higher resolution and increased efficiency.
“This state-of-the-art equipment offers greater precision and flexibility in adapting packaging to customer requirements. Increased production efficiency will result in shorter delivery times and consistently high quality,” said Marek Siciński, head of the e-commerce business unit at Masterpress. “This is an important step towards further automation and expanding our sustainable packaging portfolio.”
Responding to changing market needs
This investment comes at a time of growing demand in the e-commerce sector and marks a significant milestone in Masterpress’ commitment to a stronger and more sustainable product portfolio.
“The investment will expand our production capacity and enrich our existing product range to better meet market and customer requirements,” added Marek Siciński. “With this new machine, we offer a modern alternative to traditional poly mailers – side gusseted envelopes for e-commerce that maximise efficiency, reduce costs and support environmental expectations.”
The envelopes produced on the new line feature side gussets that increase capacity and make them suitable for a wide range of products, such as textiles, shoes and soft goods. Their construction combines stability and strength with a lightweight, paper-based design, underscoring Masterpress’s commitment to sustainable e-commerce solutions.
Growing importance of digital commerce
Gabriel Magdaleno, Director of Strategic Product Management and Marketing at Masterpress, emphasised that the company is ‘investing significantly’ to take a leading role in sustainable packaging. “This new line is one of several strategic initiatives aimed at offering our customers more environmentally friendly and intelligent alternatives,” he said.
“Investments in e-commerce packaging strengthen Masterpress’ position as a strategic partner for online retailers. Through innovative, sustainable and customisable packaging solutions, the company aims to differentiate itself from competitors, increase customer loyalty and expand its share of the rapidly growing e-commerce market,” added Gabriel Magdaleno. “This investment will also increase international brand awareness through trade fairs and partnerships with e-commerce platforms, positioning Masterpress as a forward-looking, reliable supplier.”
E-commerce packaging remains a central component of Masterpress’s investment strategy. The company recognises the growing demand for high-quality, sustainable and cost-efficient shipping solutions and is focusing its resources on meeting customer expectations, expanding its product portfolio and consolidating its market position.
