Valco Melton at Labelexpo Europe – Hot melt coating & inspection

Valco Melton’s LP Series Coating Lines are designed to coat and laminate a variety of substrates using hot melts or UV hot melts, offering complete control of the coating process through programmed recipes and close-loop capabilities.

Engineered for precision and performance, Akura Applicators feature independent hydraulic zones, each fed by a gear pump, to ensure uniform adhesive distribution.

Real-time grammage measurement and closed-loop control

Coupled with Weight-Inspekt, the solution enables real-time grammage measurement and closed-loop control. When a grammage deviation occurs, Weight Inspekt automatically corrects the flow rate in the out-of-tolerance hydraulic zone. This ensures optimal adhesive usage, minimal waste, coating consistency, and maximises productivity by eliminating manual adjustments.

Coat-Inspekt offers real-time vision inspection for coating processes, providing an immediate and intuitive overview of the production status. Together with the historical data stored, it provides companies with a powerful tool for process analysis.

Traceability and full process reporting are key for converters looking to make data-based decisions. Inspekt devices promote efficient communication exchange between systems. All defects and their exact positions are transferred to the downstream slitting stations for precise defect removal and effective recovery work planning.

Communication without limits

Communication is not limited to defects, as information about raw materials, working parameters, or consumables are also transferred to the end product.

Together, these systems deliver complete production traceability, process intelligence, and operational efficiency. Visitors to Labelexpo Europe can experience how integrating coating and inspection into one smart platform can elevate productivity and quality at booth 4C60.
