From 10 to 12 March 2026, the international embedded community gathered at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg for the 24th edition of the embedded world Exhibition&Conference. With around 36,000 visitors from almost 90 countries, the trade fair recorded a significant increase of more than 13 percent compared to the previous year, underlining its strong growth curve. The next embedded world in Nuremberg will take place from 16 to 18 March 2027.
Benedikt Weyerer, Executive Director of embedded world, sums up the trade fair: “This year once again impressively demonstrated the importance of embedded world in the global embedded community. The energy in the halls – packed aisles, lots of good discussions and an impressive variety of ideas – really inspired us. This strong feedback motivates us enormously and encourages us to continue on the successful path of the event.”
embedded world Conference: International expertise shapes the conference programme
With its exceptionally broad range of topics and intensive technical exchanges, the embedded world Conference once again sent a strong signal about the industry’s innovative strength in 2026. High-calibre technical presentations, well-founded scientific insights and lively dialogue between experts made the conference a central meeting place for the international developer community.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the embedded world Conference, describes the special quality of the event as follows: “An exceptionally broad spectrum of innovative technical presentations characterised this year’s embedded world Conference. The depth of the technical discussions and the quality of the scientific input show how actively and future-oriented our developer community is working. Rarely has it been so clear how intensively research and practice are working together on new solutions.” The conference thus once again confirms its status as the leading source of knowledge and inspiration for the embedded community.
electronic displays Conference: Strong conference and seamless transition at the top
This year, Prof. Dr. Jan Bauer from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences took over the chair of the electronic displays Conference from Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Blankenbach, who shaped the event for many years with great expertise and commitment. The seamless transition underscores the strong scientific foundation of the conference and ensures its continued development in a dynamic market environment. Prof. Bauer is building on the successful work of his predecessor and providing new impetus to further expand the conference’s importance as a leading platform for the display community.
“As the new Chairman of the electronic displays Conference, I am particularly pleased with the depth of content in the presentations and the intensive professional exchange within our community. Many contributions have shown that display technologies are currently undergoing gradual development – new momentum is emerging, particularly in energy-efficient low-power displays and sustainability, which will play a central role in the future of the industry,” says Chairman Bauer.
Fourth location strengthens embedded world’s global presence
With India, embedded world is gaining a fourth location for the first time, marking a significant strategic step in its international development. Executive Director Benedikt Weyerer emphasises: “With the decision to add a fourth location, we are consistently continuing the success story of embedded world. The strong international demand shows how relevant our platform is worldwide. The expansion will create even more space for innovation, growth and encounters – and bring the global embedded community even closer together.”
The new offshoot, embedded world India, which will take place in Bengaluru from 17 to 19 November 2026, is emerging in one of the most dynamic embedded markets worldwide. India’s rapid digital transformation, comprehensive investments as part of the India Semiconductor Mission and an expected market growth of around 10.3 percent annually until 2030 make the country a key growth driver. The parallel alignment with the renowned Bengaluru Tech Summit also creates valuable synergies and opens up new access to technology providers, development teams and decision-makers at an international level. This expands embedded world’s global network and strengthens its role as the leading platform for the embedded industry worldwide.
