inVirtus Technologies, a French innovator in asset tracking solutions, announced the launch of the EosFlex Beacon. Developed in collaboration with Epishine, a Swedish pioneer in printed organic solar cells, and e-peas, a Belgian leader in ultra-low-power energy harvesting ICs, EosFlex combines Angle of Arrival (AoA) positioning with a self-powered design, setting a new standard for sustainable, precise, and maintenance-free asset tracking.
As industrial companies move away from manual tracking methods that slow operations and provide no real-time visibility, EosFlex provides an advanced alternative. By combining Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with AoA technology, the beacon enables exact indoor positioning in real time. This gives companies a powerful tool for accurate, automated asset tracking across large industrial sites.
Indoor solar cells
Powered by Epishine’s indoor solar cells, EosFlex eliminates the need for batteries, reducing downtime and costly maintenance while ensuring an always-on solution. With e-peas’ advanced power management, the device harvests and stores energy from indoor light, enabling stable and autonomous operation for up to three weeks in complete darkness.
“An early use case with Thales has shown clear results, saving 30 minutes on part movements, up to 2 hours when locating equipment, and cutting vehicle and shelter setup from hours to seconds,” said Raphael Pantais, CEO at Invirtus Technologies. We are proud to bring this breakthrough to market together with Epishine and e-peas.”
Easy to adapt
EosFlex is available in several sizes and customizable colours, making it easy to adapt the beacon to a wide range of industrial environments and applications. Designed with sustainability at its core, it avoids silicon and rare earth materials while delivering reliable performance powered only by indoor light.
