Located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, JD7 is a one-of-a-kind infrastructure project combining modularity, sustainability, and connectivity to foster collaboration between research and industry. Designed as a strategic hub for Swiss and European innovation, JD7 has reached a significant milestone with the granting of its building permit in December 2024, marking the start of its realisation phase.
A building designed to shape the innovation of tomorrow
JD7 is more than just a building; it is a platform designed to accelerate innovation and create synergies between companies, research centres, and academic institutions. Spanning 10,000m², the project features cutting-edge laboratories, ISO5-certified clean rooms and flexible, adaptable office spaces. These state-of-the-art facilities are tailored to industries engaged in high-precision manufacturing, digital technologies, and renewable energy, providing an ideal environment for even the most demanding projects.
Its unique circular architecture not only optimizes natural light but also maximizes spatial efficiency, fostering meaningful interactions among its users. At the heart of the design is an innovative central technical duct, enabling unparalleled adaptability to meet the ever-changing demands of modern technology. This blend of technical ingenuity and functional design positions JD7 as both a visionary and practical infrastructure solution.

The next steps
With the building permit secured, JD7 will enter its construction phase in spring 2025. The work is expected to conclude by autumn 2027, at which point the building will open its doors to welcome its first tenants. Although several renowned companies have already reserved their spaces and expressions of interest continue to grow, spaces are still available. Interested companies are invited to explore the building on the website and contact the project director to discuss installation opportunities.
