Universal Display Corporation, an enabler of energy-efficient displays and lighting, announced its sponsorship, invited presentation, and conferral of its annual innovation and technology awards at the 25th International Meeting on Information Display (IMID 2025) conference. Organised by the Korean Information Display Society (KIDS) and Society for Information Display (SID), IMID 2025 took place from 19-22 August in Busan, South Korea.
As part of the conference programme, Dr Mike Weaver, UDC’s Vice President & Deputy Chief Technology Officer of PHOLED R&D, delivered an invited presentation on 20 August, titled “OLED Displays 2.0.” His talk highlighted the efficiency and lifetime benefits of UDC’s novel Plasmonic PHOLED device architecture, and explored the development and deployment of phosphorescent OLEDs in extreme environments.

UDC Innovative Research Award in Organic Electronics & Display: Tae Wook Yang, Seung Hyun Jo, and Min Chul Suh (Kyung Hee University, Korea) for their paper “Privileged Structure-Based Molecular Fingerprints for Organic Electronic Materials: Towards Intuitive Machine Learning Interpretation and Efficient Molecular Design.”
UDC Pioneering Technology Award in Organic Electronics & Display: Dong Jun Kim (Yonsei University & LG Display Co., Ltd., Korea), I. Sak Lee, Hyun Kyu Lee (LG Display Co., Ltd., Korea), Jae Seong Yun, Young Wook Kim (Yonsei University, Korea), Se Hwan Na, Young Ju Park, Hong Soo Kim, Sang Yoon Park (LG Display Co., Ltd., Korea), and Hyun Jae Kim (Yonsei University, Korea) for their paper “Improved Power Structure for Enhanced Image Quality of AMOLED Displays at Low Luminance Levels.”
