SRI to relocate Silicon Valley headquarters to its PARC Campus

SRI will relocate its headquarters to its Palo Alto-based PARC campus, bringing its Silicon Valley teams and labs together in the historic space where modern computing was invented. The move, which coincides with SRI’s 80th anniversary, will include refurbishment and modernisation to equip the campus for groundbreaking research for years to come.

“An exciting step for SRI”

“Bringing our Silicon Valley teams together in this space is an exciting step for SRI,” said David Parekh, CEO of SRI. “In 2023, we acquired PARC, and now, with this exciting move, we are combining expertise across quantum, biosciences, education, AI, robotics, and more in one place. This campus will also serve as the hub for our innovation network of startups and international collaborations.”

The move marks the next chapter for SRI, whose Menlo Park campus has served as its home since 1947. Over its 80-year history, SRI staff working on this campus pioneered the internet, the computer mouse, mobile robotics, and a host of other world-changing innovations that many people depend on today.

Technological advancements

SRI is making tremendous advancements in trusted AI, quantum sensing, and personalized medicine, and is catalysing global ecosystems, including QED-C, NSIC, QMEC, and the Silicon Valley-based DARPA Accelerator.

Carved into a hillside in the heart of Stanford Research Park, PARC was built in 1974 for scientists to think, invent, and build. According to the company, that legacy continues.
