From 24-26 February 2026, professionals in printed electronics from all over the world will meet again in Munich at LOPEC. The leading trade fair and the most important conference for flexible, organic, and printed electronics has been offering a complete overview of the market for 17 years and brings together leading players from research and industry. At the conference, practice-oriented lecture sessions show how printed electronics can be used in industry.
“The compact application sessions that we introduced in 2025 were very well received and brought the trade fair and conference even closer together,” says Armin Wittmann, Exhibition Director of LOPEC. “These practical presentations show the opportunities and challenges of printed electronics from the perspective of industrial users. They are our contribution to further promoting the spread of this sustainable and cost-efficient technology. The focus in 2026 will be on smart living and mobility.”
High exhibitor interest
Around five months before the trade fair, exhibitor interest in LOPEC 2026 is at the same high level as last year. The registered companies range from key players in the industry to startups. International participation is once again high, with over half of the companies coming from abroad. There will be joint stands from Spain, France and, for the first time, also Belgium.
“LOPEC shows how printed electronics is opening up new markets and creating real added value. I am looking forward to the market-ready applications that will be presented at LOPEC. I expect to see numerous innovations, particularly in the healthcare and wearables sectors,” says Dr Klaus Hecker, Managing Director of the OE-A within the VDMA.
Industry discussions and new design ideas
The LOPEC exhibition area will once again be accompanied by a diverse supporting programme. The agenda includes the Exhibitor Forum, the LOPEC Roundtable with leading industry representatives, the Innovation Showcase with prototypes and new products, the Startup Competition, the OE-A Competition, and the Design@LOPEC Workshop. This workshop is being held for the second time and invites product designers, particularly from the automotive, textile and other industries, to design applications with printed electronics for wearables, smart textiles, and other innovative products.
Industry meets science
Leading representatives from industry and research will meet at the three-day conference to discuss the latest developments, technologies, and applications. A panel of international experts is currently compiling the extensive programme from the submitted presentations. It will comprise plenary sessions, the half-day application sessions, various conferences, and poster sessions. “The half-day ticket for the conference gives you access to the exhibition area for the entire day. That way you can make your LOPEC visit even more effective, as there will still be enough time to see the exhibition and network after the conference,” says Armin Wittmann.
