LOPEC 2025 with new conference structure

LOPEC, the leading trade fair and conference for printed electronics, next taking place in Munich from 25-27 February 2025, will be even more practice-oriented. The conference will now feature special lecture sessions for application experts on the focus topics of Smart Living and Mobility, providing industry-specific specialist knowledge in a compact format.

Each year, LOPEC offers a complete market overview of flexible, organic and printed electronics, and brings together manufacturers, users and scientists from all over the world. “Through the new structure, we are drawing the trade fair and conference closer together. In half-day sessions, we will bundle user knowledge from a specific area, followed by a guided tour of the trade fair, allowing participants to experience the technology in practice,” explains Armin Wittmann, Exhibition Director of LOPEC. “Afterwards, there will still be enough time for an extensive visit to the exhibition, so that you can get a comprehensive overview of the current state of the industry at LOPEC.”

Sustainable innovations

The exhibitor interest in LOPEC 2025 is high: Just under five months before the trade fair starts, over 100 companies have already registered, which is significantly more than in the same period last year. “I’m excited to see the new products exhibitors will unveil at LOPEC, especially within the focus topics of Smart Living and Mobility,” says Dr Klaus Hecker, Managing Director of the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association), an international working group within VDMA. “The demand for more sustainable electronics is stronger than ever. We’re seeing new technological approaches, both in production and products, that are driving significant improvements in energy and resource efficiency throughout the value chain. At LOPEC, companies will be showcasing printed electronics made with sustainable materials and manufactured through resource-friendly processes.”

International knowledge transfer

The three-day LOPEC Conference, which for the first time will also feature half-day application sessions on the LOPEC focus topics, will once again offer exciting insights into the current state of printed electronics. “We have once again attracted top-class experts from all over the world to speak at the conference, including speakers from leading industrial companies like Audi and major research institutions,” says Wolfgang Mildner, General Chair of LOPEC.

LOPEC 2025 will once again be accompanied by a supporting programme that includes an exhibitor forum, various panel discussions, and the LOPEC Start-up Competition. A new feature is the Design@LOPEC workshop on 25 February, aimed at product designers from the industrial, textile, and automotive sectors, and set up to explore new applications for printed electronics in wearable technologies, smart textiles, and innovative product design.
