More than 60 participants, high-calibre specialist presentations, in-depth discussions and valuable networking: On 25 and 26 June at the east Hotel Hamburg, the M2N Converting Gipfel 2026 once again underlined its role as the leading networking and knowledge platform for the German-speaking converting industry. Under the motto ‘The future is built on courage’, decision-makers, machine manufacturers, material producers and technology experts came together to discuss the industry’s key challenges and opportunities.
Digital transformation, AI and sustainable packaging
The two-day conference programme covered a wide range of topics – from digital transformation and artificial intelligence to sustainable packaging solutions, retrofit concepts, the new EU Machinery Directive and the global challenges posed by increasing competition from Asia. Highlights included the keynote speech by Cordula Schulz (Schulz Flexgroup), specialist presentations by Anna Helgert (Dow), Daniel Zimmermann (Felix Schoeller), Olga Mordvinova (incontext.technology) and Christoph Vrenegor (Lebbing automation & drives), as well as the high-profile panel discussion ‘The Asia Challenge’ featuring Andrea Glawe (KROENERT), Alexandra Mönch (Bäumer) and Joachim Barthelme (BST). The programme was rounded off by a fireside chat with Ilkay Özkisaoglu on Azerbaijan and LinkedIn thought leadership, as well as numerous networking opportunities – including the joint evening event on the River Elbe.
“With more than 60 participants, we have once again set a new record at the M2N Converting Gipfel. This shows us that face-to-face interaction is more important than ever in our industry. We are extremely satisfied with the event and would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the speakers, sponsors and guests who made this summit such a special experience. Together, we have demonstrated that innovation arises where people engage in dialogue with one another. We are therefore all the more delighted to be continuing the M2N Converting Gipfel on 1 and 2 July 2027 together with the industry,” says Martin Hirschmann, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief at M2N Media GmbH.
Focus on open dialogue
Alongside the specialist presentations, the focus was above all on open dialogue. Participants made the most of the numerous discussion sessions and networking breaks to exchange experiences, forge new contacts and develop joint solutions to current market and technology issues. In doing so, the M2N Converting Gipfel once again lived up to its claim of being not just a conference, but a platform for sustainable knowledge transfer and collaborative partnership.
Preparations for the next edition are already underway: the M2N Converting Gipfel 2027 will take place on 1 and 2 July 2027, once again at the east Hotel Hamburg.
