The programme for the 51st Munich Adhesives and Finishing Symposium (MKVS) has been published. The international conference will take place from 26 to 28 October 2026 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Munich and will bring together experts from the fields of adhesives, coatings, finishing and converting. The programme features a total of 31 technical presentations, a poster exhibition and an accompanying tabletop exhibition featuring nine companies.
Market trends, raw materials and modern coating technologies
This year, the organisers are focusing on a broad range of topics: alongside new – increasingly AI-supported – approaches to the development, formulation and processing of adhesives, the programme centres on market trends, raw materials and modern coating and processing technologies. Topics covered include pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA), hot-melt PSA, packaging adhesives and applications for flexible packaging. The programme of presentations is divided into five sessions and covers applications for paper, films and plastics, as well as self-adhesive materials, labels, tapes, lamination, coating and nonwovens.
The announced technical presentations include, amongst others, market analyses of the global PSA and release liner markets, new developments in slot-die and gravure coating, high-precision coating tools, and a case study on the ultrasonic curing of water-based coatings for food packaging. In addition, topics such as digital product passports for packaging adhesives, sustainable polymer dispersions, medical hot-melt adhesives and new UV PSA systems will be presented.
Tabletop exhibition
Accompanying the conference, a tabletop exhibition will once again take place, with participants including Albert Invent, Nordmann, TSE Troller and other companies. Submissions for the poster session are still being accepted. Registration for the conference is now open; a discounted early-bird rate applies to bookings made by 31 July 2026.
For decades, the Munich Adhesives and Finishing Symposium has been one of the most important independent events for the international adhesives, coatings and converting industries, offering numerous networking opportunities alongside the technical programme.
