Print4All is broadening its scope for its 2027 edition, placing an even greater emphasis on the convergence of printing and converting technologies. Scheduled to take place from 25–28 May 2027 at Fiera Milano, the exhibition aims to present the entire printing and converting value chain under one roof, from packaging and industrial printing to labelling, corrugated board and visual communication.
Organised by Fiera Milano and promoted by the Italian industry associations ACIMGA and ARGI, Print4All is positioning itself as a platform that reflects the increasing integration of technologies, materials and applications across the industry. According to the organisers, the exhibition will showcase machinery, software, substrates, inks and converting solutions while highlighting how printing technologies are evolving beyond traditional production into strategic tools for product development, branding and industrial manufacturing.
Convergence between printing and converting processes
A key message for the 2027 edition is the growing convergence between printing and converting processes. As digitalisation, sustainability, and customisation continue to reshape manufacturing, exhibitors will demonstrate increasingly integrated production solutions capable of serving a broad range of industrial applications. The organisers believe this reflects the direction of the market, where printing and converting are no longer viewed as separate disciplines but as interconnected technologies creating added value throughout the production chain.
Among the highlights of the exhibition will be two dedicated special areas. Print Matter(s), developed in cooperation with Sapienza University of Rome, will explore the role of advanced and sustainable materials through research, prototypes and application examples. Rather than presenting materials in isolation, the initiative will examine how innovations in substrates can generate new functionality, improve sustainability and enable entirely new product concepts.
The project is structured around four thematic pillars—Regenerate, Perceive, Digitalise and Activate—covering topics such as bio-based materials, sensory surface design, digital manufacturing and functional printing technologies. Visitors will be able to explore prototypes and demonstrators illustrating how research is being translated into practical industrial applications.
The second special area, Corrugated Experience, returns after its successful debut and places corrugated board firmly in the spotlight. The exhibition space will present corrugated packaging not only as a logistics solution but also as a communication medium and branding tool. Technologies, materials and production solutions will be complemented by an extensive content programme covering sustainability, recycling, automation, e-commerce and packaging design.
Encouraging direct dialogue
Interactive formats such as Ask the Expert sessions and Meet & Greet networking events are intended to encourage direct dialogue between suppliers, converters, brand owners and industry specialists while providing practical insights into current market developments.
Labelling will remain another strategic focus area. The organisers see strong growth potential in the interaction between label production, finishing technologies, package printing and converting, creating new opportunities for customised packaging and product communication solutions.
Beyond technology, Print4All 2027 is also strengthening its commitment to education through the Print4Future initiative. The programme is designed to attract young talent to the industry by connecting students with exhibitors, technology providers and employers. Hundreds of secondary school students are expected to attend the exhibition on the final day to learn about career opportunities across printing and converting.
The initiative addresses the industry’s ongoing skills shortage. According to figures cited by the organisers, nearly 68% of Italian manufacturing companies report difficulties recruiting qualified technical personnel, while Europe’s printing sector employs more than half a million people. Through company presentations, discussions and career guidance, Print4Future aims to help bridge the gap between education and industrial employment.
Ambassador programme
To ensure the exhibition reflects current market needs, Print4All is also introducing an Ambassador programme. Industry professionals from key sectors, including packaging, labelling, corrugated and personalisation, will contribute to shaping conference content, identifying emerging trends and helping define the exhibition’s strategic direction.
With this broader approach, the organisers aim to position Print4All not simply as a trade fair, but as a knowledge platform where technology suppliers, converters, manufacturers and brand owners can exchange ideas and explore future developments across the rapidly evolving printing and converting landscape.
