On 21 February 2025, Robatech AG officially inaugurated their new production site in Znojmo, Czech Republic, with a festive ceremony. With this new facility, the company aims to strengthen their presence in European markets, shorten supply routes, and enhance their competitiveness within the EU.
Opening ceremony
The official opening ceremony of the new production site in Znojmo welcomed guests from local and national politics. In his opening speech, company owner Marcel Meyer emphasised that this facility represents more than just a new production site. “It is a clear commitment to growth, customer proximity, and sustainable innovation.” Yves Ottiger, CEO of Robatech, added, “With shorter supply routes and optimised processes, we are strengthening our competitiveness in Europe – while ensuring the highest Swiss quality standards.” Research and quality assurance remain based in Switzerland to uphold the highest standards and Swiss expertise.
Renovated and newly equipped building
During the subsequent tour of the production facility, which had already started operations last year, guests had the opportunity to explore the renovated and newly equipped building. While sufficient staff have been found for current production levels, plant manager Pavel Holanek is still looking for suitable local suppliers to provide aluminum castings, machined parts, sheet metal structures, moulded plastic components, as well as electrical and electronic assemblies according to Robatech’s specifications.
