Suzhou Rixiang Optical Technology signs as TactoTek’s Licensee

TactoTek, the pioneer in In-Mould Structural Electronics (IMSE) technology development and licensing, announced a new licensing agreement with Suzhou Rixiang Optical Technology Co., Ltd. (Suzhou Rixiang), which has established itself as one of the leading automotive lighting prototype providers in China.

Rapid prototyping of fully functional IMSE parts

Under the agreement, the company will deliver rapid prototyping of fully functional IMSE parts, meeting local OEMs’ expectations for cost-efficiency, execution speed, and fast iteration cycles when developing next-generation products. This partnership strengthens TactoTek’s rapidly growing global IMSE ecosystem by reinforcing design-phase validation in China.

TactoTek’s IMSE technology integrates lighting, touch controls, electrical components, and circuitry directly into three-dimensional moulded structures. By replacing conventional multi-component architectures with structural electronics, IMSE enables lightweight, thin, smart surfaces that combine distinctive design and improved performance with reduced assembly complexity and lower total system costs.

“We are thrilled to welcome Suzhou Rixiang to our growing network of licensees, as establishing local prototyping capabilities in China is vital for supporting OEM development processes,” said Marko Suo-Anttila, Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions at TactoTek. “Rapid prototyping allows OEMs to evaluate and iterate on IMSE designs within their own design cycles, providing the speed and cost-efficiency required for early-stage decision-making.”

Joining the global IMSE ecosystem

“We are excited to join the global IMSE ecosystem,” said Tony Shi (Yuxin Shi), CEO at Suzhou Rixiang. “By combining TactoTek’s IMSE technology with our rapid prototyping and optical expertise, we enable customers to accelerate their development processes. We are already engaged in an initial IMSE-based project with a leading automotive OEM and are well-positioned to contribute to the broader adoption of IMSE solutions in China.”
