TactoTek, the in-mould structural electronics (IMSE) global leader, announced that Phillips Medisize, a Molex company, has joined the IMSE ecosystem as a licensee. Phillips Medisize will begin IMSE manufacturing at its facilities in the USA and Mexico, serving key markets including consumer, defence, automotive, and medical technology.
Deep experience in product design and advanced manufacturing
“We are proud to welcome Phillips Medisize as a TactoTek licensee,” said Sami Hyyryläinen, Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development at TactoTek. “Their deep experience in both product design and advanced manufacturing makes them a full-service IMSE licensee. The vertical integration of electronics, mechanics, and aesthetics in IMSE parts means that streamlined production and accelerated time-to-market are critical advantages—ones that Phillips Medisize is well-positioned to deliver.”
IMSE technology integrates electronic functions such as lighting, touch controls, circuitry, and antennas into seamless, injection-moulded smart surfaces. These highly functional, space-saving solutions are transforming product design across industries.
Design innovation and differentiation in different markets
“IMSE complements our portfolio and supports design innovation and differentiation in medical technology, consumer, and defence markets. This expertise combined with our end-to-end manufacturing capabilities, scale and geographic scope makes Phillips Medisize a compelling manufacturing provider globally, including for high-demand IMSE automotive solutions,” said Katie Dornan, Vice President and General Manager, Specialty Commercial, Phillips Medisize.
