Mondi exceeds 95% certified base paper for release liners

Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has switched more than 95% of its range of release liners and extrusion solutions to PEFC and FSC-certified base paper sources.

According to the company, this is a further step towards responsible sourcing and transparency in the supply chain and also reflects Mondi’s ongoing commitment to develop solutions that are sustainable by design and support customers in achieving their sustainability goals.

Responsible sourcing and traceability

By using certified paper sources, Mondi upports traceability and sourcing from forests that are managed responsibly. All parties involved are committed to producing responsibly sourced paper.

“As part of our MAP2030 goals, we are committed to circular-driven packaging and paper solutions and taking action on climate change. Offering a product portfolio made from certified paper is part of this commitment. This step helps us to improve our range of release liners and extrusion solutions, such as our FunctionalBarrier Paper range, while providing the best possible solutions for our customers and end users,” stated Jurgen Van der Donck, Sales and Business Development Director for Functional Paper and Films, Mondi.
