INNO-Circle 2026 – Solutions for sustainable flexpacks

Providing fresh impetus for an industry in transition, Innoform Coaching GmbH is hosting the fifth edition of its renowned symposium “Environmentally Friendly Plastic Packaging” as INNO-Circle 2026.

On 1 and 2 July 2026, leading figures from the industry will gather at the SKZ Model Factory in Würzburg to present and advance practical solutions for “Environmentally Friendly Flexpacks – From Design to Recycled Packaging”.

Increasing regulatory requirements, growing pressure for sustainability and technological innovations are fundamentally transforming the industry. INNO-Circle offers the ideal platform for this: practical, interdisciplinary and solution-oriented.

The two-day conference is aimed at specialists and executives across the entire value chain – from packaging manufacturers and machinery builders, through brand owners and fillers, to sustainability managers and decision-makers.

A platform for solutions across the entire value chain

The focus is on concrete approaches to the transition to sustainable flexible packaging. The topics range from mechanical and chemical recycling and innovative materials to current regulatory developments such as the PPWR and the requirements of the Central Packaging Register (ZSVR).

“INNO-Circle combines technological expertise with strategic dialogue to drive forward sustainable flexpack solutions in a practical way,” emphasises Julian Thielen, Co-Managing Director of Innoform Coaching GmbH.

High-calibre insights from practice, research and industry

The programme combines in-depth insights with concrete application examples:

  • Pierre Lorenz (Resinex Germany) demonstrates what is truly possible in the mechanical recycling of PE and PP for packaging and how the PPWR is becoming a reality.
  • Alexandre Zuber (Interzero) demonstrates how digital tools efficiently support recyclability and compliance.
  • Axel Subklew (Initiative “Waste separation works!”) highlights the role of consumer education in ensuring functioning circular systems.
  • Peter Niedersüss (Borealis) presents PO raw materials with high barrier properties and recycled content in line with the PPWR.
  • Christian Lutze (KÄMMERER Spezialpapiere) presents innovative barrier papers as a sustainable alternative.
  • A special highlight: Benedikt Kauertz (ifeu), together with DuoPlast and the GVM, assesses current developments from a life cycle assessment (LCA) perspective.

Exchange that moves things forward

In addition to the specialist presentations, the focus is particularly on practical case studies and interactive discussions. Current challenges such as the use and integration of recycled materials, the development of recyclable high-barrier solutions, and the practical implementation of regulatory requirements are addressed in concrete terms.

Networking breaks and an accompanying programme of events create additional opportunities for in-depth exchange between industry, trade and the recycling sector.

Attend in person or join digitally

INNO-Circle 2026 will take place as an in-person event in Würzburg and will be streamed live simultaneously. This hybrid format thus enables remote participants to take part flexibly and gain direct access to all content and discussions.

Inspiration for the packaging of tomorrow

With a combination of technical depth, strategic context and practical exchange, INNO-Circle 2026 provides important impetus for the further development of sustainable flexible packaging – and establishes itself as a key industry gathering for all those who wish to actively shape the transformation.
